A Registered Investment Advisor is a fiduciary who has a duty of undivided loyalty to their investment advisory clients and must deal fairly and honestly with them. Any person or entity that holds itself out as a Registered Investment Advisor must be registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission or its State of Residency as a Registered Investment Advisor.  A Registered Investment Advisor is a representative of the client.

Individuals, families, non-for profit organizations, corporations, small businesses, pensions and profit sharing plans, estates and trusts.

A Financial Plan is an overall review of your financial situation, taking into account your goals and objectives and focusing on such areas as: cash flow planning, income tax planning, asset management, estate planning, risk management, education planning and retirement planning.  Typically, the Advisor conducts consultations with each client to prepare a “financial plan” based on that individual client’s financial status, needs and objectives.

We believe in an in-depth interview process to help a client identify their most important personal and professional goals, and their life purpose.  We look at all aspects of a client’s financial life, use our collective experience and our network of professionals to design a plan, and coach clients through different options so they can make informed decisions about what is truly best for them.

No.  While each client has a primary advisor they typically work with, we believe strongly in a team approach.  We collaborate with each other and share ideas with a singular focus on providing multiple solutions and services for our clients.  We also create a wealth management team to help you implement your plan by drawing from our extensive network of industry leading professionals.

As part of our initial planning fee, we provide assistance with implementation for six months.  Implementation may be effected through various advisory programs.  The client is free to choose how such implementation occurs and will typically rely on the recommendation of the Advisor.

We believe it is important for the client to meet with the Advisor periodically, and typically no less than annually, to review the client’s investments as well as the changing needs and objectives of the client and update the Plan as needed.

No.  We do not believe that we can provide suitable investment advice without having a sound understanding of what our client’s different goals are, the importance and time frame for each goal and how they plan to accomplish them.  It is also critical to understand other factors such as a client’s fears, tax situation, risk management plan, liquidity needs and income needs.  It is only after we have learned these things through the planning process that we can provide investment advice that is customized and appropriate for each of our clients’ individual goals.

No, we are financial counselors and investment advisors.  However, these services are available from other sources.  We can provide referrals to excellent professionals if you need help in these areas or we will work with your existing professionals.

We are fee based and have several fee options available. The initial financial plan, including six months of assistance with implementation, is offered for a flat fee or an hourly rate.

After that, clients may opt for our ongoing investment management services, where fees are based on a percentage of assets under management and financial planning is included at no charge.  Alternately, the client can receive financial planning and general investment advice on a flat fee or retainer basis.  We will work with you to determine the best option for you.

We are independent and don’t “represent” any financial institutions.

No.

Any financial advisor you use should help you to place your assets with an independent third party custodian, where only you or a designated representative can access the assets.  At Pegaesus Advisors, we use several third party custodians, including SEI Private Trust Company, Charles Schwab, Fidelity, Pershing and TD Ameritrade.
